Uncertainty

My visit to a community of Long-neck Karen, also known as Padaung, near Chiang Rai, left me rather melancholic. Refugees from Myanmar, they had the sad dignity of a people uprooted. Their smiles were tainted with nostalgia, and perhaps a measure of hopelessness. I still don't know what to say.
