Vibrant

The Flower Hmong are a small Hmong subgroup in the north of Việt Nam, near the Chinese border. Their nickname comes from their incredibly vibrant daily wear. The Bac Ha market where I encountered them was rippling with a chromatic palette that made my head spin. This picture was shot while I was stalking their characteristic silver earrings—the only monochromatic objects in sight.
