Zoqaq el-Blat

A neighborhood just off down town Beirut, Zoqaq el-Blat or "the cobbled lane" was the first residential expansion of the city outside its historical center, and as such was at one time the privileged area of palace-building bourgeoisie, the finest schools and some of the first printers.
