A Walk in the Fog During an impromptu walk on a small nature trail in the Lebanese mountain, we stumbled upon a beautiful old monastery that seemed only recently abandoned. Every cell was headed with a cross in a unique design. Some also had plates. This one carries the date 1726. The entrance to the monks’ quarters is headed by this complex solar dial that doubles as an astronomy tool with the names of the constellations and main stars. The most surreal find of all: A room heaped half a meter high with newspapers from the 60’s. 1 january 1969… This piece of paper lying forgotten in an open room is 10 years older than I am.
